Occasionally an error may occur that misguides the range in believing the oven door is locked.

As of summer 2013 with the exception of the cgs985 cgs990 and c2s985 the control lockout button locks out the oven controls only not the gas burners. If your oven has an auto lock it should only engage during the self clean cycle. The range lockout feature allows the user to lock out all oven and surface burner operation. If this code is flashing in the display of your range or oven and the self clean cycle has not been selected.

The door should unlock and there should not be a need for service. Wait approximately 30 minutes for the oven to cool and try to unlock the door. Door will not unlock after self cleaning. If the above does not correct the situation service may be required.
